Founder/Principal
Chantelle Aguilar
Chantelle Aguilar holds both undergraduate and Master's degrees in Education and Literacy and is deeply passionate about helping children love learning and believe in themselves. Starting and running a school has been a lifelong dream for Chantelle, and she is proud to bring that vision to life at AIM KW School. She also co-founded Colleen Cares, a charitable foundation aimed at providing scholarships and educational support for students in need.
Outside of her professional life, Chantelle enjoys unwinding in her backyard and pool, and indulging in hobbies such as painting, crocheting, and crafting. Fun facts: Chantelle spent her teen years living in Belize, craves the beach and saltwater, and has even lived in a one-room hut in the middle of the jungle, which has given her a unique perspective on life and education.

Founder/Director
Aleith Cole
Aleith holds an undergraduate degree in Literature and Linguistics and a Master’s degree in Education. A certified ESL instructor, Aleith’s passion for traveling, languages and education led her to teach English in England, Italy, and Taiwan over ten years. Her experiences abroad and her love for learning and teaching sparked the realization of a major life goal: co-founding AIM KW School. Aleith is passionate about providing flexible, student-centred learning to both neurotypical and nerodiverse children alike.
Aleith enjoys unwinding with challenging jigsaw puzzles, crochet, and other crafty pursuits. Fun fact: she met her Indonesian husband in Taiwan and, due to a language barrier, called him Denny for months before realizing it wasn't his name—he’s ! She also owns a house in a small fishing village in Indonesia.

Vice Principal
Jayne Brownrigg
Jayne holds a degree in English and Education and is passionate about literature and the arts. She believes in engaging children in learning through hands-on projects and student-centred activities. An avid reader and book collector, she is dedicated to fostering students’ love of reading while helping them develop strong literacy skills. Outside of school, Jayne has a serious green thumb, filling her home with a vibrant collection of plants. She enjoys traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, and walks with Ollie, Jayne’s fur-baby and AIM mascot, who comes to school with her daily, adding warmth and joy to the learning environment.
Fun Fact: Jayne is a thrill-seeker who loves scary movies, has been skydiving, and has bungee jumping next on her bucket list!

Office Administrator
Bonnie Melo
Bonnie Melo is the heart of organization at AIM KW School. With certifications in Health and Safety, QuickBooks, and Accounting, Bonnie ensures the school runs smoothly and efficiently. Often referred to by her unofficial titles—The Boss, School Nurse, Head Chaos Coordinator, and Overlord of Organization—she’s the go-to person for keeping everything (and everyone) on track.
Outside of work, Bonnie enjoys savoring a good coffee in the sunshine while listening to the birds. Her favorite movie is The Sound of Music, and she dreams of learning how to scuba dive one day.

Primary Years Educator
Brandi Waal
Brandi brings her passion for early childhood learning and development to her role as the Kindergarten and Grade 1 Educator at AIM KW School. As both an educator and a parent—her two daughters also attend AIM—Brandi is deeply committed to nurturing young learners in a creative and supportive environment.
Outside the classroom, Brandi is a successful portrait photographer and a talented crafter. She loves to unwind with a good book and a relaxing hot bath, and her favorite getaway destinations include Disney theme parks and cruises. A Halloween enthusiast, Brandi embraces the spooky season as her favorite holiday.

Primary/Junior/Intermediate Educator
Jessy Davies
Jessy brings her degree in science and environmental business to her role as an Elementary Educator at AIM KW School. Passionate about fostering a love for the environment, Jessy thrives on helping students grow and learn by exploring the world around them. Her love for children began years ago when she worked as a nanny and taught dance, experiences that sparked her desire to inspire and nurture young minds.
When she’s not in the classroom, Jessy is a regular performer in community theatre, showcasing her talents as an actor, singer, and dancer. She also enjoys crocheting, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with her bunny, Arlo.
Fun fact: Jessy is a proud Harry Potter fan and has a knack for turning challenges like living with chronic migraines into opportunities for empathy and resilience.

Junior/Intermediate Educator
Samantha Franklin
With a degree in English and Literacy, Samantha is passionate about literature, Shakespeare, and helping students develop their literacy skills. She’s deeply committed to fostering resilience and a growth mindset in her students, believing that every learner can improve with the right support and attitude. Samantha always knew she wanted to be a teacher and is dedicated to helping her students thrive.
Outside the classroom, Samantha enjoys singing and performing, often unwinding with a crochet project or watching TV and movies with her husband. She’s also an avid reader of historical fiction. Samantha lives by the mantra her dad shared with her: "You can do anything 10 minutes at a time," a philosophy that keeps her motivated and focused. A fun fact: she’s really good at making funny faces and voices, often bringing a smile to those around her.

Junior/Intermediate Educator
Julia Hutchings-Byrne
Julia's passion for teaching began when she was just five years old, and over the years, it has evolved into a deep commitment to making learning accessible and engaging for all students. With multiple undergraduate degrees in Interpreting and Transliteration, American Sign Language, Adult Education, and a Master's degree in Deaf Education, Julia brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at AIM KW School. She believes in creating an inclusive learning environment that supports every student's unique needs.
A dedicated mother of nine, Julia's family is at the heart of everything she does. She has also fostered dozens of children over the years, which says a lot about her nurturing nature. Her two youngest daughters attend AIM. Outside of her work, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, her beloved pets, particularly her pet rats, and is a fan of classic films, with Gone with the Wind being one of her favorites.

Intermediate/French Educator
Nancy Pereira
Nancy brings her love of the arts and the French language to AIM KW School, making learning both creative and engaging. With a Bachelor of Arts degree and a passion for teaching, she enjoys inspiring students to explore language and culture in new ways. When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll likely find Nancy planning her next adventure—travel is one of her greatest joys! Her favorite way to unwind? Curling up with a good movie or a thought-provoking documentary.
Fun fact: If Nancy could have any superpower, she’d choose time travel—imagine the stories she could bring back from the past (or the future)!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

PE/STEM Educator
Ethan Gomes
Mr. E brings an infectious energy and enthusiasm to AIM KW School! Whether he’s encouraging students in sports and games in the gym or leading cool STEM experiments, he keeps things active and engaging. A league soccer player and runner, Ethan is passionate about being active. He also loves helping students explore how the world works—whether it’s through hands-on STEM projects or problem-solving challenges. When he’s not on the field or out for a run, you’ll probably find him unwinding in the kitchen, cooking up something delicious while enjoying some smooth jazz. A dedicated thrifter, he loves the thrill of finding hidden gems. One of his big dreams? Watching a Premier League match live in Liverpool!
Fun fact: Ethan is a walking atlas—he can identify the flags of the world like a pro!

Highschool Educator
Taylor Wilkinson
Taylor has known she wanted to be a teacher her whole life, and with degrees in both Arts and Education, she’s made that dream a reality! She’s passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for her students and bringing her love of teaching into the classroom. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find Taylor embracing her “granny life,” cozied up on the sofa with her cats and a good horror novel, a cup of tea, and a crochet project or puzzle, all while listening to the radio.
Fun fact: Don’t let the granny vibes fool you—Taylor is tough! She’s completed two triathlons and once powered through a 7km obstacle course with a broken foot. Talk about determination!​​​​

Highschool Educator
Jen Seo
Jen is a Senior/Intermediate Highschool Educator at AIM KW School, with an Education Degree specializing in French and Geography. Passionate about teaching and supporting student learning, Jen brings a wealth of experience, including tutoring refugees and immigrants, to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Outside of teaching, Jen is an avid board game collector and player, and she loves unwinding with rhythm and farming games. Ms. Jen is the “cool teacher” who connects effortlessly with students, often joining their conversations about video games and anime.
Jen dreams of visiting Zhangjiajie, China—the breathtaking landscape that inspired the world of Avatar.

Emotional Support Dog/AIM Mascot
Ollie E. Brownrigg
Ollie is the heart of AIM KW School, known for his friendly, not-much-there tail wag and his gentle nature. As the school’s Emotional Support Dog, Ollie provides comfort to kids with cuddles and kisses when they’re upset and helps students who need a self-regulation break. He comes to school every day with Jayne, his human, and brings joy to everyone he meets. Ollie is notorious for eating anything he finds on the floor, bears a striking resemblance to Dobby from Harry Potter, and is often spotted looking dashing in one of his many shirts or hoodies. It’s just not AIM without him!
